Get Involved

As a not-for-profit organization we rely on the help of donors and volunteers to continually offer our programs and services. The following is a list of ways you can support us in building a strong local organization here in Peterborough.

There are 3 ways to become involved!

Become a volunteer

Volunteers are the backbone of building a strong sustainable organization. Our volunteers provide tutoring for our assistive technology tutoring program and our learning to learn differently program. As well interested individuals can offer their support through Board membership or fundraising. Please contact us if you have some interest talent or time that you would like to share.

Placement opportunities are an invaluable opportunity and a reciprocal investment for both students and our organization. In the past we have accepted students from the following areas: teaching, social work, psychology and early childhood education programs.

Please check with Susan Ramey for upcoming opportunities.

Make a donation

The Learning Disability Association of Peterborough LDAP does not receive any core government funding or support. We rely primarily on the on-going generous support of individuals through donations, planned giving and fundraising activities to sustain much needed programs and services. As a charitable organization we issue tax receipts for all donations over $10.

There are several donation options in which donors can contribute to the organizations work.
